On August 15th Garth and I rode the Minden150. 30 degree heat, lots of hills through the Canadian Shield in northern Ontario. Broken chain, flat tire – an all around tough ride and great training for the 2010 Ben Farrant Memorial Cyclathon!

Colleen-Jason-Steve – Training for 2010 Ben’s sister Colleen and husband Jason and I started our 2010 training early! We donned our Team Wellspring jersey’s and went for a ride in south-western Ontario. (see photo) Hi Wellspring Team. Yesterday afternoon, we enjoyed a two and a half hour ride up to Golden Ears and back. Seven of us went, including Heather Collins, Lisa Edwardson, Amy Lange, Larry Scott, Jared Hindmarsh, Jason Strain, and myself. We five in Vernon rode to the loop to Salmon Arm ( ~140km), leaving at 7am since it has been so hot lately. The temp was moderate yesterday but we had a wind on the way home. The plan is to meet at the Fort Langley parking lot at 2pm and head out on a ride to Golden Ears and back.
